This stunning necklace is a gorgeous Victorian style in gold plate filigree setting.

The green crystals in the necklace glow bright green under UV light due to the presence of Uranium.

The green crystals used in this necklace are vintage ‘dead stock’ Swarovski Crystal elements.

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
