Unusual green Uranium and orange Cadmium crystal ‘S’ drop earrings.
These gorgeous earrings are made using green and orange vintage Swarovski crystal chatons set in vintage silver plated jewellery components.
Finished with silver plated ear hooks.
The crystals glow super bright under UV light suggesting the presence of Uranium in the green crystals and Cadmium in the orange crystals.

About Uranium Glass -
Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light. Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today. Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
