Pack of 8 Uranium Swarovski crystals to use in jewellery making and crafts.

AB (Aurora borealis) coated, silver foil backed.

You will receive as follows -

8 x Pear cut 6x10mm

Please note due to the AB finish these crystal do not glow as bright as the non AB finish crystals.

All of these crystals are genuine vintage Swarovski crystals from new ‘dead stock’ Swarovski factory packs circa 1960’s - 1970’s.

About Uranium Glass -

Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.

Along with Uranium jewellery you will also find some other UV reactive pieces containing Cadmium or Selenium.
