Pretty Art Deco yellow Uranium glass drop necklace.
Circa 1930’s by Ward Brothers, signed WBS.
A trio of yellow amber glass drops in typical deco shapes hang from a gold filled chain with crystal bicone accents.
The yellow glass drops glow green under a UV light suggesting the presence of Uranium or Manganese.
A really pretty, delicate Art Deco necklace.
Some chips to the glass although not obvious unless looking for them.

About Uranium Glass -
Uranium glass / crystals glow a vibrant, bright green under a blacklight / UV light.
Uranium, usually in Oxide Diuranate form was added to a glass mix before melting to result in a beautiful green colour. Naturally Uranium glass in direct sunlight will give of a fluorescent green colour and due to it's glowing properties under UV light Uranium glass has become highly collectible today.
Uranium can be found in green glass, yellow glass and even white and blue glass although the majority is green.
